Relevancy in recruitment, education and training of teachers
Results from Daphne study “Violence Prevention in Educational Institution “Kindergarten” – Present Approaches and Development Possibilities” (2008) show that recruitment and education of teachers in all surveyed countries are not sufficiently reflecting nor addressing Peace Education (PE) & Violence Prevention (VP) relevant aspects. In all countries there are no general regulations or guidelines defining or promoting teachers´ development of basic skills and knowledge regarding violence prevention or peace education.
